Checking Turtle Traps

Checking the Turtle Traps!!

Saturday, July 23, 2016, 10-11:30 AM

Butler Residence, 87 North Pond Road, Salisbury

Using turtle shells, herpetologist Jim Andrews will briefly discuss the different species of turtles found in Vermont. After the intro, Jim will check the live turtle traps he set the previous day in the north end of Lake Dunmore. If the traps were successful, we will then handle, discuss, and release the turtles that were caught.

This is a program for kids and adults, sponsored by the Salisbury Conservation Commission, and the Lake Dunmore/Fern Lake Association. For more information contact Jim Andrews (jandrews@middlebury.edu) or Crispin Butler (crispin.o.butler @gmail.com)
